Ambitio College participated in the Kick-Off meeting of the Careers for Carers project

On October 14th and 15th 2023, representatives of the Ambitio College – director Alen Stranjik and manager in adult education Željka Ciler, participated in the Kick-Off meeting of the Erasmus+ project Careers for Careers (CforC) in Sandefjord, Norway together with the coordinator of the Eurasante – Health Cluster project (France) and other partners Challedo and XENIOS POLIS (Greece), AP Hogeschool Antwerpen (Belgium) and FØNIX AS (Norway). The two-day meeting took place in the headquarters of the partner FØNIX AS.

The goal of the project is to respond to employment difficulties in the field of personal services by attracting young people to the healthy aging sector, training them, and providing employment advice.

Considering the growing number of elderly people and the lack of staff who provide quality support to these people in Croatia, Ambitio College will encourage and educate young people in the profession of care for the elderly and healthy aging in the next two years.

During two days of active work, the partners exchanged ideas and redefined their roles that they will perform in the next two years of the project. Several modes of operation were discussed. The partners used most of the time for creative thinking and talking about the game of escape, an interesting digital tool which will use as an innovative way to arouse the curiosity of young people for providing support to the elderly, which will contribute to raising awareness of the profession of care for the elderly and healthy aging. The next meeting of partners is planned for the spring of 2024 in Greece.
