On October 26th, 2019, Ambitio College successfully implemented a free training program for Shipboard Host at the partner of the project – Horvat Tourism Travel Agency in Trogir. Training was implemented within the framework of the ESF project “3D in Croatian Tourism – Training for the Shipboard Host, Host of Accommodation Capacities and Host of Family Tourism Farm”. It was implemented from 17th to 26th October 2019 for unemployed persons who were gaining the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to provide quality service during the stay of guests on ship. These new knowlegde and skills will help them easier access to the labor market in the tourism and hospitality sector.

Future Shipboard Hosts were learning how to prepare and serve meals for onboard tourist guests as part of practical training which was implementing while sailing on the coast. In practical training they were also gaining the knowledge about how to organize and implement tourist guests stay on board, how to communicate with tourist guests with exercises to simulate the situation on board and how to clean and maintain the functionality of the ship.

Upon compleation of final exam, the participants were given the certificates of attendance.
