Fourth and final professional development course for dental assistants was held at dental cabinet of Ambitio College on 7th of Sept 2019.

Course’s topics were related to the communication with the deaf, blind, visually impaired patients and patients with intellectual disabilities in the dental office, dental assistant as a member of the oral medicine team, and the use of parenteral therapy in the dental office.

Participants had the opportunity to learn and improve their existing knowledge of oral medicine, specific diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and diagnoses that are addressed in oral care, ways of communicating with the deaf, blind, visually impaired and patients with intellectual disabilities in dental office and the most common mistakes in the care of such patients, and the most common reasons for the use of parenteral therapy in the dental office.

Croatian Chamber of Dental Medicine evaluated this course with 10 points as a part of one of this year’s professional development courses for dental assistants. Photos from the course you can see here.
